MTech Robotics and Autonomous systems(IISc), ex DRDO Senior Research Fellow Rahul has over 5 years of applied R&D experience at DRDO and the Institute of AI.He has designed electronics schematics,developed control loops for high-precision gimbals,and led system engineering task for defence-grade imaging payloads.his core expertise spans computer vision,edge AI ,autonomous navigation,and real-time perception for projects ranging from target detection for Armoured vehicles to high-speed UAV navigation for ISRO .His multidisciplinary background in controls,hardware intergation,and autonomous system makes him a key contributor to developing lightweight,mission-adaptable cardboard drone plateforms.

Asst Prof at IISC, PHD ,MS (University of Maryland ) , B.TECH ( IIT Bombay ) Vision - based navigation systems, Drones and Aerial Robotics, Learning-based control , Non-linear estimation Dr Keshavan is an Assistant Professor at IISc Bengaluru with a PhD (2012) and MS (2007) from the University of Maryland, and a B.Tech from IIT Bombay. His research focuses on bio-inspired visual navigation, learning-based and robust control, and nonlinear estimation—skills he honed through applied systems that mimic insect-scale autonomous flight. He has developed advanced vision-based navigation systems, sensor fusion algorithms, and multi-agent coordination techniques, with applications in drones and aerial robotics. His deep expertise in constrained autonomy, real-time perception, and robust control complements your cardboard drone's rapid prototyping and lightweight autonomous design strategy.
